They are weather-proof, shock-proof, drop proof and built around MIL Spec 810 and IP54 standards. These radios can take on the harshest of conditions. Battery life is great. The NiMH battery lasts up to 13 hours on the 2 Watt models, 15 hours on the 1 Watt models.
